Ayoade (A.Y.) Adewopo BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Joseph MontelAyoade Adewopo received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 2002. Ayoade is also licensed to practice as a Solicitor in England and Wales. Previously, Ayoade worked with The Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission, as an Associate with the law firm of Ice Miller LLP, as the Senior Global Operations Counsel for The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, and as the Assistant General Counsel for the Security Technology sector of Ingersoll Rand PLC.

Ayoade served as Secretary, Vice President and President of the Marion County Bar Association (Indianapolis, Indiana) from 2004-2006. He was also a Member of the Marion County Public Defender Board of Directors from 2004-2006. Ayoade is a frequent speaker on International Trade and Investments based on his experience as a skilled corporate executive and attorney in Multinationals and Fortune 500 companies. Ayoade has lived and worked in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Ayoade sits on the boards of the following companies: Barns Integrated Farms Ltd (Nigeria), Meshat Ltd (Ghana), Ecowas Trading LLC, Joy Health Services LLC, JHS Investments LLC, Sarah Care of Indianapolis, and Brodaz Investments LLC.

Ayoade is currently a senior counsel in the corporate law firm of Coleman Stevenson & Montel, LLP. He practices in the areas of international trade and investment, banking transactions, commercial real estate and construction law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and general corporate and commercial law. Ayoade plays integral roles in export control and customs law transactions for highly regulated corporations.
